Steele Away Home – Canine Foster and Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) foster based canine rescue located in Newport, TN. Each of our rescue dogs are cared for by a loving foster family as we help them on their journey to a forever home. In addition to saving as many lives as we possibly can, we also hope to bring awareness to the need to have pets spayed and neutered to stop the cycle of the homeless animals.

Steele Away Home – Canine Foster and Rescue has been established in part to recognize and honor the work of Jenifer Parry Steele who has worked tirelessly since 2003 to save thousands of animals from Newport and Cocke County. We, the fosters and volunteers, are proud to be part of this amazing group working to save lives! We welcome all who will join us.

Hello I just wanted to thank you for saving our dog Fuzzy, now Fennec, a red and white Papillon mix. Who now is part of my family and has a new dog sibling Georgia. We all love him, my parents and I, and his weird quirks.
